Most women love the old fashioned stuff. If you are not sure whether to get on one knee then you should probably get on one knee. If a woman has a strong preference for you not to kneel while asking for her hand in marriage then it is her job to find a way to let you know. If you have a strong preference for staring eye to eye with your lady when proposing then you might want to do a little research to see how this might impact how she envisions getting proposed to.
